We use Firebase Anonymous Login to create a unique identifier for each user. This ID is stored securely and helps us associate non-purchase data with a specific session.

b. Non-Purchase Data

When you decide not to complete a purchase after being prompted by our Extension, the details of the item (e.g., product name and URL) are stored in our Firebase database.

c. Reinstallation or New Devices

If you reinstall the Extension, clear your browser’s cookies or local storage, or install the Extension on another device, a new anonymous ID will be generated. This ID is not linked to your previous activity, meaning any previously stored data will not be associated with the new session.

2. How We Use Your Information

To enhance your experience: We save non-purchase data to provide a history of items you chose not to purchase. This feature helps you reflect on your decisions and avoid future impulsive buying.
Future cross-device support: If you choose to log in with a Google account in the future, your non-purchase history will be accessible across all devices.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Third-party services: We use Firebase, a service provided by Google, to store data securely. Firebase complies with robust security and data privacy standards.
No sale of data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties.
Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

4. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your data and implement industry-standard measures to protect it. This includes encryption, secure connections, and restricted access to our database.

5. User Choices

Anonymous usage: The Extension does not require you to provide personal information. Anonymous login is the default mode.
Opting out: You may stop using the Extension at any time to discontinue data collection. Non-purchase data is tied to your unique anonymous ID and can be deleted upon request.

6. Your Rights

Access and deletion: You can request access to your stored non-purchase data or request its deletion by contacting us at "contact@voidverse.ca".
Consent withdrawal: You can uninstall the Extension to stop data collection.

7. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice. Continued use of the Extension following any changes constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms. Significant updates will be communicated via the Extension or the Chrome Web Store, where possible.
